The de Havilland DH.106 Comet
de Havilland DH.106 Comet 1A c/n 06013 CF-CUM. Originally allocated G-ALZA but diverted to Canadian Pacific. However not delivered and purchased by BOAC and registered G-ANAV. Chartered to South African Airways in late 1953 and carried dual BOAC/SAA titles.
There were two Comet aircraft that carried dual titles, the other one being G-ALYY c/n 06011. G-ALYY was lost on the 8th of April 1954 enroute to South Africa with an SAA crew.
